Artist Profile: Meet The New Afrobeats King, Kobby Young – Emmanuel Dokyi known in the music industry as Kobby Young, who is an Artist (Singer /Song Writer) born on the 1 6th January,1998 in Akyem Kukurantumi in the Eastern Region of Ghana, West Africa.
He had his High School education at St.Mary’s Seminary Senior High School over in Ghana. After his High School Education, he developed love for music and started singing and developing his writing skills in the year 2006.

He has a brother and 3 Sisters and he is the last born of the family. He is so Loving and Caring, he also respect everyone around him whether young or old. He love Listening to Music, Reading and Drawing as well.
In the year 2015, at Akosombo, where he began to pursue a career in music after listening to many songs from many artist which inspired him to pursue music.
He started to develop it through the help of his Best friends namely; Phinehas Odoi also known as “ Okata” and Ampadu Agyei Lawrence also known as “Ogale BoBo”. These two friends were more than brothers to him.

In the year 2016, he started to look for a Studio which can help bring out the talent in him. In year 2018, he located a studio at Akyem Tafo, where he met Sankwan who is a Producer and also a Musician called MC Jompa.
As he humbled himself and start to work with them in peace, he released numerous Songs and the first song was title ” Ebefa” in the year 2019. This song was a song dedicated to whoever and whatever we are all hustling for with Love and Trust we have in what we do.

And later followed by “Sweet16, Nkwa hia, Nobody, Time up, No time ….. etc. In the year 2021, he got a Big Collaboration from Akyem Jamaica , where he was featured by One talented artist and a brother with the name Kwajo Flow on his song tittles ” Arab Money”.

After that Collaboration, I have worked with Ss Dajeb, King Sage, Soulbeck, Kwasi kris, Molato….etc”. In 2022, he storm the Street again with a Hot drill Banger Tagged “Time Up” which was a Hit and loved by many people.
Again, On the 14th of March this year, he has released another hot banger tittle “No Time” which is still Trending on all Music platforms.Since then, he has been working hard towards his craft in the music and entertainment industry for some years now.

His hardwork has been given him the oppurtunity to gain some recognision by being awarded at Eastern Music Awards, Crystal Music Awards.
He had had a great working experience with some amazing talent’s in the likes of Shatty Banks, Koby Symple, Boy tee, Cashood, Teeplow, DopeNation and one special person Fox Beat that helped propelled his career over the years.

His style of music is deeply influenced by the fusion of sounds from different parts of the world but mainly from the Western Part Of Africa, which is Afrobeats.
Creatively as an artist, he has been constantly working hard towards the development of his writing and singing skills which gave him the opportunity to write for a couple of artist in his country, Ghana.
